I'll have to say that there's a lot of luck involved when I can get a good lightning shot like this. This was taken from my front yard and at the time I remember complaining about the electric poles being in the way. After the shot though, I really liked how they added to the whole theme.
WOW great photo! the elctric lines not only add to the theme but add a great compositional element to the photo.
