Almost Here...

Another seemingly exhausting effort to get something posted again tonight! This heap of a computer pretty much does what it wants when it wants, I think. The time when the machines take over the world is drawing near! (ok, whatever...)
So anyway, back to reality. No big story here tonight. I've just been getting antsy for warm weather and the miracles of spring to get here. So when I came across this photo I could feel it drawing me into it's warmth and I didn't really want to leave it so I decided to share it in hopes that it warms you like it has me.
Hang in there, springtime is almost here...

Happy Valentines Day

Here's a rose to all of you for Valentines Day. As it is Valentines Day I have better things to do than sit on the computer and type some long winded post. So here's to you (and me) and here's hoping your day is all that you wanted it to be!

Helianthus strumosus

This is the Helianthus strumosus - otherwise known as the paleleaf woodland sunflower. I know this because I finally found the web site that is the know-all and tell-all of Missouri plant life. It's called, believe it or not, Missouriplants.com. I just wanted to share that with you. I know that when you're trying to identify flowers color is very important but at this time of year I figured that a black and white was more suitable- kind of like an image in your mind of past memories. Memories that you feed off of until the time comes when the real thing is once again available.

After the Rain

The air hung heavy and allowed the rain drops to find a place to rest on this rose.
